VILLAGE CAROL SINGING
Dorothy House Hospice
5.30 – 7 pm on December 17th
at the Village Hall
Our annual carol singing in aid of Dorothy House will be held at the Hall this year. When we started our village carol singing in 2004 we used to walk around the village singing outside houses. Under starry skies, in rain and in snow the singers persevered for usually 2 hours. However it was agreed 2 years ago that it would be better to be in one central place. Sadly the volume and size of vehicles passing through the village at speed was becoming far too dangerous for everyone, especially the children. We therefore went to the Community Shop and although a bit squashed inside when it rained it was popular.
This year, we have decided to hold our carol singing at the Hall. We will have plenty of space for lots of singers of all ages (children especially welcome) and abilities! We maybe outside if it is a balmy night. Please come along and join in the carol singing or just listen. Mulled wine and hot chocolate will be offered to help lubricate the vocal chords!
Please come along as the collection will once again be for Dorothy House which has played a valuable part in the lives of many villagers.
Please contact Sue Priestner, Brenda Smart or myself if you want more information.
